I am new to the "blogosphere," however, I am not new to sharing my beliefs to anyone. Anyone who knows me knows that is true. Points on current news:
Tuberculosis:
This guy, Andrew Speaker, is obviously a selfish moron. Anyone (especially a guy who is just married to a woman who's father is a leading expert on the Tuberculosis Virus) who decides to proceed with his honeymoon plans after learning he has contracted TB, is an absolute idiot. Excuse me, but when was it politically or morally correct to continue on a cross continent vacation when I have just been told that I have TB. Even if he didn't know that he had the most drug resistant form of the disease, he should have used not only common sense but had the moral conscience to think...Hey...maybe we should put off this trip until we find out how serious this strain of the disease is? He didn't even come close to thinking that he had any responsibility, morally, ethically, emotionally...you name it. HE WAS SELFISH. We can go into all the details as to when he found out, where he was when he found out how bad it was, why he ignored the authorities when they said DO NOT TRAVEL. We won't get anywhere until someone puts this idiot in his place. Oh, excuse, I guess they finally did that on the flight from New York to Atlanta, but why didn't our government stop him from crossing the border from Montreal into the US.
Don't get me wrong. I do wish him well as far as his health is concerned, but that only comes from my Golden Rule way of thinking. Hope he gets that mass removed and all, and then all of you folks who were exposed have a heyday. He deserves what he get's (and you will soon learn that I have a vile attitude towards lawyers....for the most part).
Immigration Reform:
What the heck is wrong with our Congress and the news media in general. I watched many different cable and local news over the Memorial Holiday Weekend. I found that many of the right and left leaning channels were reporting there were polls across this great country of ours said...."We want COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM."
*When was the last time you had a pollster call you and ask for your opinion....
*Why is it that now that the bill is likely to make it's way through the Senate we are hearing completely different polling results. Last weekend, they said that "60% of Americans would support comprehensive immigration reform." Funny thing is how they phrase their questions on their polls. If they asked me if I supported the bill as presented, I would certainly say...NO. But if I were asked some of the questions that the pollsters asked, they would probably get the same results.
Enough for now...We'll continue this tomorrow.
